“No, not having the Homecoming dance did not affect my weekend because I can go out to clubs and have fun. I do, however, believe that dance should not gave been cenceled due to a few prior student actions. Not having the dance really affects the underclassmen that only have Wesley events to attend.”

“No, not having the dance did not really affect my weekend. I have a life outside of school and do things pretty much off campus. I don’t socialize much here because I am engaged and preoccupied with stuff off campus.”

“Yes, my weekend was changes by not having the Homecoming dance. I was looking forward to the dance. It would have given me something fun to do for that day. I believe it caused more problems with students [by canceling it] rather than having it and possibly a problem. You can’t punish everyone for a few people’s actions.”

“Not having the dance did not really affect me. But isn’t a Homecoming dance a part of school tradition? So, instead, I just went outwith some friends and had fun.”

ppl5-matt fridell, 20Matt Friedell, 20

“Not having the dance takes the tradition out of Homecoming. I would probably have made an appearance if they had the dance, but instead I just went out with some friends.”

“The dance not happening did affect my weekend. It made the weekend boring for me. I definitely would have gone to the dance. It’s wrong it was taken away from us.”

“I would have been the DJ for the Homecoming dance, but it got canceled. I feel like Wesley security could have been better at the first dance. They should continue to have dances, but they should also have more security present to control any situation.”

“No, the dance not happening did not affect my weekend. I still had fun on campus hanging out with my friends. So not having the dance wasn’t really a problem for me.”
