After reading the rules to players, intramural manager Paul Huber blew the whistle and the soccer games started.

The first game of the semester was close, ending 4-3, with the Red team beating the Green team.

Mike Heyer scored two goals for the red team, the game’s lead scorer.

Their goalie Jeff Owsik had nine saves.

The Green team’s goalie, Stephen Cirullo had five saves.

Players consisted of skilled players and students who could barely run with the ball.

Each game was half an hour long, with two fifteen-minute halves.
