Wesley Student Felix Ortiz was held up at gunpoint in the early morning Oct. 9.
The 22-year-old senior was headed to his friend’s house near Division Street after he got off of work.
“I saw the same car behind me as I was walking,†he said.
The car drove past him, made a U-turn, and pulled up alongside him. The man who got out was wearing a black ski mask, hoodie and camouflage pants. He pulled out a gun.
“Give me your shit or you’re going to die,†he told Ortiz.
He gave the man his cellphone, wallet, headphones, and book bag.
Ortiz told Wesley security shortly after the robbery.
The police caught two men in a light Chrysler car at a nearby red light.
They abandoned the car  and tried to run away, but the police caught them: Joseph Murray of Dover and Kyle Colliver, of Jessup, Md. Police said Murray had done the holdup, and was charged with 11 counts, including robbery in first degree; Colliver was charged with nine counts, also including robbery in the first degree.
The police said the car was stolen.
Ortiz got some of his possessions back.
“They ripped my sim card out of my phone, along with my memory card,†he said. “In my wallet my state ID was missing, photos, and my keys were missing out of my book bag.â€
Ortiz said he was upset.
“I’ve become apprehensive at being on my own at night,†he said.
He said he also has become more cautious and aware of his surroundings.
“I was very shook and sacred but I composed myself through the whole scenario,†he said.
He advises students to always travel with a group of friends and be aware of new their surroundings.
