Not every student has the luxury of having transportation and spare money to spend on food.

Students rely on The Den, cafeteria and Wolverine Stop to feed their hearty appetites.

“I’d rather see The Den open on weekends,” said freshmen James Okike. “More people will go to The Den on weekends than the weekdays.”

Many students do not have transportation.

“I believe that the Den should be open for students who do not have transportation to get to a McDonalds or a Burger King,” said sophomore Chelsea Billups.

Some students suggest hours that will benefit both employees and students.

“I think The Den should be open until 12 on Friday and Saturday,” said De’Aira Harper.

Since the cafeteria closes at 7 p.m., students who stay up late rely on the services of The Den.

“With the cafeteria closing so early and not having a very good food, I look forward ordering from The Den at night,” said Javed James.

Later hours might help The Den.

“The Den would make a lot of more money if they opened on the weekend,” said Avery Covington. “They are losing out.”

“The food in The Den is a lot better than in the cafeteria,” James said. “If they opened on weekends, they would make a lot more money and it gives the students something to do.”
