Chris Agar

After he graduated from Wesley College in 2011, media arts alumni Chris Agar didn’t go far.

He now works for Wesley’s marketing department as a communications assistant and helps with their website. He often takes pictures of events going on around the campus.

“I get to use the skills I learned in the computer courses with Dr. Griffin, like digital media literacy and desktop publishing,” Agar said.

Agar also has done freelance film journalism, and graphics work for Comcast.

While Agar was at Wesley, he participated in the school newspaper, The Whetstone, WCTV and WxStream radio.

“I am a big movie fan and I’m also into sports so I thought this could get me into sports broadcasting,” Agar said.

Unlike most college students, Agar was able to graduate within three years of arriving at Wesley.

“I took some classes in high school that were college accredited,” Agar said. “The college accepted them and I was able to start my college career with college credits.”
