The Health-Sciences building, at 300 S. New Street is about a half-mile from Wesley’s campus. For the first three weeks the building was open, volunteers drove students to and from the building. During those three weeks, more than 270 students took the ride, which showed the need for a dedicated transportation service, said Walt Beaupre, director of security.Beaupre said Wesley security runs the transportation service. A full-time driver was hired after three weeks to drive the shuttle.
The shuttle picks up and drops off students from the Faculty and Staff Parking lot across from Budd Hall at the main campus. Students ride the half-mile through downtown Dover to the main parking lot of the Health-Sciences building.
