Football and track athlete Matt Bundy came to Wesley because of family

Junior Matt Bundy, who splits his time between award-winning performances in football and track & field, came to Wesley through a family connection.

“I knew about Wesley through my mom,” Bundy said. “She and Coach Drass both went to the same high school.”

Bundy had been close to Drass before he knew about Wesley.

“Coach Drass helped me with my recruitment process,” Bundy said. “I talked to him mostly, especially since both of us came from the same high school (Penncrest).”

Bundy said he balances the demands of academics and the two sports by managing his time.

“All it takes is time management, eating right, and getting to the training room every day,” he said.

It’s also about doing well in class.

Bundy said he takes advantage of all the academic resources and tools the College offers him.

“Wesley was my choice because the smaller class sizes,” Bundy said. “Teachers are more available, tutors are more available. At a larger school, it would have been harder to get to my professors if I needed help.”
