It’s almost that time of year again.
About 45 students came out to pick pumpkins during Howl at the Moon’s first sponsored trip to Fifer Orchards on Oct 22.
“I think we had a pretty good turn out this year,†said co-president Erika Tanase. “It was a much bigger outcome than we expected, which was a plus since it’s only our first time sponsoring the trip to Fifer Orchards.â€
“The trip was nice and exciting,†said freshman Kayla Osborne. “I am glad I signed up. It gave me a chance to get off campus and seen a lot of people having fun.â€
Osborne also said she enjoyed the music, food and attractions.
“I’ve never seen a pumpkin patch before,†said freshman Brandi Knox. “When I heard Wesley was going to Fifer Orchards free of charge, I jumped on the chance as soon as possible. I really had fun trying to find the perfect pumpkin for me.â€
Sophomore Megan Durrant used the trip to spend more time with friends.
“This was a real fun experience for me,†she said. “I had a great time picking pumpkins, laughing, and socializing with my friends since I barely get to see them during the week due to my busy class schedule.â€
Other students came unprepared.
“The bad part about the trip was that it was a little cold,†said freshman Cara Baldridge. “But besides that, I still managed to have fun. I just wish I brought along a jacket. I would’ve brought money to participate in other activities they had going on.â€
