Pierre Forman loves his new job as Wesley’s omelet chef.
“The Wesley family is outrageous,†he said. “I enjoy being around the kids and the laughter, and my co-workers.â€
Forman has been cooking since he was 15 and living in Ocean City, Md.
“I got away from it for a while, but then I got back into it,†he said. “I enjoy cooking, it relaxes me.â€
Forman says that the college family is what makes being a cook for the school worthwhile.
“You can go to them if you have a problem and they’re really great about it,†he said. “They’re there for you and always say good morning.â€
He loves the smell of freshly cooked food. That is why setting up in the morning is his favorite part of the job.
“It’s just overwhelming, I love it,†he said.
It is also about the omelets.
They are his favorite things to cook.
“They look so light and delicate when you first put them on the plate, and the students love them,†he said.
Forman said would never work in a fast food restaurant.
“It’s too impersonal,†he said. “I like to be out in the open and to interact with the people. It’s nice to be able to see the students. Talk with them, and get to know them.â€
Forman hopes to stay at Wesley for a long time.
“I enjoy the people and the atmosphere,†he said. “I love working here.â€
