Two new constitutional amendments were passed at the March 8 SGA meeting.
The first amendment says that if the primary or secondary contact of an organization cannot attend an SGA meeting, the person who attends must be approved by the congress.
The other one states that new organizations must go through a one-semester probation period to show the new organization’s commitment to SGA, and the primary or secondary contact person must attend all congress meetings. The organization cannot receive any monetary support from SGA in that period.
SGA president Amberlyn Oldham urged students to take advantage of the upcoming Senior Week’s events. Juniors are also able to attend the events, including the employment fair, and should do so if they are interested in jobs or internships.
SGA will be putting the slogan, “helping preserve your future,†on the condoms they plan to purchase since the RA’s do not always have them.
The fitness equipment in the Malmberg gym was also addressed, but no money has been allocated for updating the equipment.
“If students ask us to do something, we get it done,†Oldham said. “We put ourselves out there to students.â€
The SGA is also working on making the coin machine in the underground work, said vice president Tanner Polce.
