Delmarva Rural Ministries had to set up a table on the College Center third floor Feb. 1 after its Matchvan broke down, a table was still set up Feb. 1 on the third floor of the College Center.

The ministry provides students with health services.

The table replaced the RV some students are used to seeing in Dulaney circle.

“I didn’t even know they came this time,” said senior Mike Ward. “I don’t have any problems. I just like to get screened every now and then for my own safety.”

Jill Maser, RN at Wesley, said that the Matchvan gives students easy access to screenings.

“It is up to you to take care of your sexual health,” Maser said. “You are your own individuals as students and are advocates for your own health and well being.”

Services provided by the Matchvan include Medicaid, community health access programs, screening for life, HPV vaccines, and HIV testing.

Students who have received prior vaccines for cervical cancer are urged to take all three.

The Matchvan is schedule to come again in March and April.

Wesley’s health center is also available if students have any concerns. Condoms are also located for student use in the dorms to help prevent HIV or pregnancy.
