For the second year, the indoor soccer intramural league has received many compliments from players and referees.

“[It] has been amazing this year,” said junior Abdul Hameed, player and captain of team NoNonsense. “From the participation to the excitement, the games have been close and fun.”

Some students feel that the league has improved over the year.

“[As] an employee of the intramural staff, and a player in the league, this season has improved,” said junior Nick Talirico. “All of the teams are competitive, which makes it really fun to play.”

Talirico said all the teams have played well.

“It’s going to be an interesting year in regards to playoffs and their outcome,” he said.

All the teams have a shot at winning it, Hameed said. “The reigning champions, ‘Team Blackout,’ look as strong as ever. But I feel like a change in rings is due.”

Eight of the nine teams will make the post-season.

The final round of the playoffs will begin Feb. 23.
