There was a catch to the recent Think Fast game show held at Wesley on Feb. 12.
“This game show was different because students had to play as a pair,†said Erika Tanase, a program assistant for Howl at the Moon.
Because it was the Valentine’s Day edition, students came with a significant other, a roommate or a friend.
Abdu James and Antonique Vinson won the first prize of $200.
As usual, contestants played two rounds of 20-question general trivia. The two winners, along with two wild card winners, then played in a championship round.
“It was almost too easy,†Vinson said. Her score after the final round was 1,000 points, while the runner-up earned only 200.
“It was like certain words he gave off just clicked and I just answered before he could finish.â€
The couple planned on using the money they won for Valentine’s Day.
“I enjoyed my time because my girl won and we’re going to do what she wants,†James said. “We’re probably going to go out somewhere nice to eat and just have a good time.â€
Junior Rashon Holmes did not make it to the final round, but he still had fun playing.
“There was nothing else to do, and there was a chance to win $200,†Holmes said. “It was pretty cool, but the trivia was kind of hard.â€
The event was hosted by T John E Productions, and the host of the show was Allen Conran. DJ Tyga provided music, sound bites and video questions.
“We’re just here to give the students a good time,†Conran said.
